...on an otherwise cloudy, dreary kind of Friday.
My dear friend and co-worker did get a little good news yesterday following a PET scan earlier in the week. The oncologist reported that there were no additional tumors that they didn't already know about from the previous endoscopy and CT scan. Great news!! He will begin chemotherapy in a week. While the overall situation is still very serious, this one small "miracle" is so welcome. You have to take the little victories when you get them. I know he was extremely anxious about the results of the scan. It was a big relief to hear this little bit of good news.
I know you don't know him, but please keep my friend in your prayers. It will be a long and painful road for him and his loved ones. Thanks.

Of course I will. I don't have to "know" someone to care about what happens to him.
